Train connection when arriving by plane in Paris

At Paris Charles de Gaulle airport: direct high-speed train (TGV) to RENNES from PARIS ROISSY-CHARLES DE GAULLE railway station, then connecting regional train (TER) to Saint Malo.

Or train to Paris, RER B, and connection with the metro at Denfert-Rochereau then line 6 to Montparnasse Station

At PARIS-ORLY Airport: take “Le Bus” Direct Aéroport de Paris, Ligne 1 to Montparnasse station.

Or Orly Val with connection to RER B. At the station Denfert Rochereau connection with line 6 of the metro until Montparnasse.

At BEAUVAIS Airport (75km North of Paris), Direct bus to Paris Porte Maillot (1h30 to 2 hours and more if traffic jam) in Paris.

TRAIN SERVICES FROM PARIS

3 stations high-speed trains (TGV) from Montparnasse, Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport and Massy-Palaiseau run very frequently to Rennes and Saint Malo. If you take a train that stops in Rennes (70 kilometers from Saint-Malo) then take a regional train connection (TER) for Saint-Malo.

Only few trains each day; extra charge for luggage; all trains stop at Rennes (connecting regional train to Saint-Malo costs 15€).

Access by train from Paris:

CIF members will be at the SAINT-MALO RAILWAY STATION to greet participants and direct them to the bus line 3 for Centre Patrick Varangot, stop at “Auberge de Jeunesse” within 5 minutes distance by bus.

Access by low cost bus from Paris:

Regular services to Rennes, infrequent to Saint Malo. Check for summer schedules.

Access by car from Paris:

The city of Saint Malo is in the Brittany area and can be reach by car 417 kilometers west of Paris by the highway A11 (toll free 29€)or by the RN12 (no toll free).

To get to the Rennes railway station take bus 6 to République, then metro towards Poterie, stop at Gares (same ticket valid one hour).

Accomodation

The conference and the accommodation will take place at Centre Patrick Varangot a simple and pleasant youth hostel located 200 meters from the large beach of Saint-Malo, and 2.5 kilometer from the historic heart of the city.

The capacity of Centre Patrick Varangot is up to 200 beds with few single rooms and other rooms with 2 beds up to 3 beds. Alternatively we have selected double rooms at the nearest hotels (more comfortable and a little bit more expensive).

The conference will start on Monday July 1st, check in at 2:00 pm and will end on Saturday July 6th, check out after the breakfast full board fees included during this period with a day trip to Mont Saint Michel and a surprising closing ceremony?

CIF France members will be at the welcome desk on July 1st in the morning and you will be able to register.

Registration will only be confirmed upon receipt of full payment.  If we cannot satisfy you in time at Centre Patrick Varangot, we will indicate alternative other options in the hotel nearby.

CIF France will not be responsible for reservations of extra nights /lunch or meals at Centre Patrick Varangot or at the hotel nearby before and after the check in and the check out. Once registered please send us an email at “congres2019@cif-france.org” at your earliest convenience with your arrival and departure date and time, and if you are coming by train, by car, by boat…

Upon request we can organize an extra paid pick up at the airport.

Important Dates

Travel insurance :

Please note that you are required to have travel insurance. EU residents are encouraged to take with them their European Health Insurance Card.

Cancellation policy:

Cancellations must be submitted via e-mail at congres2019@cif-france.org

For cancellations due to severe illness, death of relatives or visa problems, submitted until March 1st, 2019, no cancellation fees will apply.

For cancellations submitted from March 2 nd, 2019 until May 1 st, 2019, 60% of the total participation amount will be withheld as cancellation fees.

No refunds will be made after May 2 nd, 2019.
